Dr Esther has worked at PDSA (UK’s leading vet charity) and many busy practices in Singapore. She is passionate about animal welfare and continually strives to ease pets’ discomfort and stress.

With her experience, she has seen and interacted with many pets with extreme anxiety in a clinic setting.

This prompted Dr Esther to take on a Fear-Free certification and she is now leading one of the few Fear-Free clinics in Singapore. Her calm and gentle manner has helped pets feel at ease in the clinic, reducing their anxiety and earned the trust of many patients, even those who hate vets!

Dr Esther strongly believes in Continuous Professional Development and is in the midst of gaining more knowledge on Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. Dr Esther’s special interests include internal medicine, ultrasonography and exotics medicine.

Outside of work, Dr Esther enjoys playing the piano, violin, and leisure swimming.

Prior to pursuing veterinary medicine, Dr Denise completed a Bachelor of Science in 2010, majoring in Molecular Cell Biology and Biomedical Science, also at the University of Queensland. This strong scientific foundation allows her to approach medical cases with critical thinking, attention to detail, and evidence-based decision-making. Her passion for understanding animal behaviour led her to obtain a Certificate III in Dog Training in 2019, which further enhances her ability to manage behavioural concerns and communicate effectively with pet owners.

Dr Denise has a particular interest in preventive care, client education, and holistic patient management. She believes that clear communication and partnership with pet owners are key to achieving the best outcomes, and she takes time to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and long-term care plans in a thoughtful and approachable manner.

As a mother of two, Dr Denise deeply understands the important role pets play as cherished members of the family. This perspective shapes her empathetic approach to veterinary care, ensuring that every patient is treated with kindness, patience, and respect. She strives to support families through all stages of their pet’s life, from puppy and kittenhood through to senior care.

Outside of the clinic, Dr Denise enjoys spending time with her family and continues to stay current with advances in veterinary medicine through ongoing professional development. She is passionate about delivering high-quality, compassionate care and is committed to helping pets live healthier, happier lives.

Fear Free Certified, Dr Nelvye places great emphasis on minimizing stress and anxiety for her patients, believing that compassionate handling and clear communication are essential to achieving the best medical outcomes. She is a personable and effective communicator who takes the time to listen, educate, and guide pet owners through their pets’ healthcare journeys, ensuring they feel supported and informed at every step. Her collaborative nature also makes her a valued colleague within the veterinary team.

With a growing interest in exotic medicine and surgery, Dr Nelvye is deeply committed to advancing her skills in this field while continuing to deliver high-quality care to dogs and cats. She approaches each case with curiosity and enthusiasm, constantly seeking opportunities to learn, refine her techniques, and expand her clinical knowledge. For Dr Nelvye, veterinary medicine is a lifelong journey of growth, one where every patient and every case presents an opportunity to become better than the day before.

She strongly believes in the philosophy that “learning never truly ends, each experience is a chance to evolve, adapt, and improve.” This mindset drives her to stay updated with current best practices, embrace feedback, and pursue ongoing professional development with humility and determination.

Outside the clinic, Dr Nelvye’s personality shines through her love for Ben 10, a reflection of her curiosity, adaptability, and appreciation for growth, qualities that resonate with her approach to veterinary medicine. Much like her favorite hero, she believes in rising to challenges, learning new skills, and doing her best to help those who need it most.

Dr Nelvye Ng is a veterinarian who blends knowledge with kindness, ambition with empathy, and professionalism with approachability, always striving to provide the best possible care for her patients while continuously evolving as a clinician.

Alvin’s military training has shaped a calm, focused approach to crisis management and patient care, which translates seamlessly into the fast-paced veterinary environment. Alvin is known for his sharp decision-making, strong organisational skills, and unwavering commitment to both his team and the animals under their care.

As a Veterinary Technician, Alvin combines technical skill and fear free practices with compassion, ensuring every patient receives attentive, efficient, and high-quality care. As Practice Manager, he leads with integrity and precision, fostering a professional and supportive clinic environment.

Alvin’s dedication to service, both human and animal, defines his role as a trusted and respected leader in the veterinary field.

Faylinn is currently pursuing a Veterinary Degree at the University of Adelaide and often visits both the Medical Grooming Centre and Paws N’ Claws during her holidays to gain knowledge on the technical and diagnostic aspects of veterinary medicine. She is enthusiastic about going the extra mile for clients. 

Faylinn also handles the clinic’s administrative, HR and social media matters. Amidst her studies and work commitments, she finds joy in spending time with her dog and five cats at home.

Reuban is a certified medic — he was a combat medic during NS as part of the Medical Response Force, where he trained, dealt with, and responded to chemical, biological, and radiological situations.

Outside of work, his hobbies are playing football, spending time with his pet dog, and watching movies.

Pei Ying has been a dedicated veterinary nurse for 3 years, bringing both skill and compassion to her role. Her love for animals shines through in the way she cares for every patient, treating them as if they were her own.

Outside of the clinic, Pei Ying enjoys unwinding with video games and is a big fan of classic movies like E.T. and Ice Age. Her cheerful personality and genuine affection for animals make her a wonderful part of our team.

Her passion for animal welfare extends beyond grooming; Trina has volunteered for the Juara Turtle Project, and also engaged with students at Chung Cheng High School to educate them about birds. Additionally, she visited two preschools to teach young children about pet care and the importance of pet grooming.

Trina firmly believes that every pet deserves to be loved and cared for.

Faris has always had a quiet but genuine passion for caring for animals, which naturally guided him into the veterinary field.

In his free time, Faris enjoys researching surgical techniques and anaesthetic protocols, driven by a desire to grow his knowledge and contribute meaningfully to the profession.

He is constantly brushing up his knowledge and skills, as he likes figuring out how things work. One of Vincent’s more unconventional personal interests lies in taxidermy, as he is intrigued by the concept of memento mori.

In his free time, he is usually trying to cover himself in more ink; spending time with his dog, two cats, and bird; catching up on his games; or endlessly discovering and learning more new things.

Since young, at social gatherings, Hannah has always been tucked away at a corner with the house pet. Her passion for animals intensified when she adopted her two boy kittens, which catapulted her journey into the veterinary field.

A strong believer of continuous learning, Hannah enjoys expanding her knowledge by taking courses and is committed to honing her skills as a nurse. She hopes that every animal that comes into our clinic feels safe and comforted.

She dreams of fostering wombats in Australia. On her off days, you’ll find her sprawled on the floor admiring her two cats, or giving them high-fives in exchange for yummy (healthy!) treats.

Sher How’s expertise in avian care enables him to recognise subtle behavioural changes and health indicators, making him an invaluable support to the veterinary team. Whether assisting in daily care routines, administering basic support, or handling animals during transit, he prioritises every patient’s comfort, safety, and health.

Sher How’s commitment to animal welfare and his calm, professional demeanour make him a trusted presence in any veterinary environment.

She is continuously advancing her skills and broadening her professional knowledge in the veterinary field. Sin Lin’s goal is to ensure that every patient at the Paws N’ Claws Vet clinics in Singapore receives the most compassionate, high-quality, and Fear-Free care possible.

Graduating from Temasek Polytechnic’s Diploma in Veterinary Technology, Ariel brings a wealth of diverse experience to our team. She completed a six-month veterinary nursing internship in Thailand, where she gained valuable hands-on exposure working with exotic animals. Ariel is also Fear Free® certified and a professional rabbit groomer, with a gentle touch for caring for small and sensitive pets.

Beyond the clinic, Ariel is full of energy and adventure from horseback riding to competitive wakeboarding, combining discipline with dedication in everything she does.

KF enjoys fostering kitties and feeding the community cats in her neighbourhood. She believes that a Fear-Free environment is vital for every pet’s well-being and recovery.

At the Paws N’ Claws vet clinics and the Medical Grooming Centre, she mainly manages the marketing and administrative tasks. She also helps out with basic veterinary nursing duties when required.

In her free time, KF is an avid gym goer, a spin-cycling enthusiast, and a hiking aficionado. Her dream is to run a pet retirement sanctuary to give senior furkids lifelong care, companionship, and plenty of love during their golden years.
